Death with dignity and the right to die on your terms

A very controversial topic and only legal in 5 states, Having the right to control how you die when you have a chronic illness or a terminal illness is something alot of us think about, whether it is with our family and friends, or just something that is in the back of our minds.
Currently, only Oregon, Washinton, Montana, New Mexico and Vermont allow death with dignity, more states are coming around though.

anyway here is the article that prompted this post. keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

  1. As a nurse, I have seen the suffering caused by chronic disease as well as terminal illness. I think if more people had a close relationship with those who are personally dealing with such issues, they would have more tolerance for a person's right to die on their own terms... death with dignity. I personally would like to have that choice when the time comes, but to achieve that, I would have to move to a state where it is legal.
